The gold medal was claimed by China's Huang Yingying, who jumped 6.55 meters, while her fellow countrywoman Tan Mengyi took home the bronze with a leap of 6.46 meters, just ahead of India's Shaili Singh, who finished in fourth place. Ancy's performance contributed to India's impressive tally of four medals in athletics on the eighth day of the competition.
This marks Ancy's second medal at the Asian Games, having previously won silver at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games with another remarkable performance.

"I hope to receive a call from him (Vijay). His motivation inspires me greatly, and I would be thrilled to hear from him," Ancy stated.
