Ancy Sojan Sets New National Record

During a remarkable day at the 65th Inter-State Athletics Championships held in Bhubaneswar, athletes from the Reliance Foundation made headlines as they broke several national and meet records. Ancy Sojan distinguished herself by surpassing the long-standing national record of 6.88m in the women's long jump, previously held by Anju Bobby George for 22 years.

After qualifying for the upcoming Asian Games, Ancy expressed her gratitude, stating, "The training facilities and infrastructure provided are exceptional. Kujur Achieves Sprint Double Victory

Animesh Kujur showcased his sprinting prowess by winning gold in both the 200m and 100m events. The 100m race concluded with a 1-2 finish for the Reliance Foundation, as Pranav Gurav claimed the silver medal behind Animesh.


Additional Athletes Qualify for Asian Games

In addition to Ancy, several other athletes secured their spots for the Asian Games, including Yashas P in the men's 400m hurdles, Anu Raghavan in the women's 400m hurdles, and Aadarsh Ram in the men's high jump. Yashas, the defending champion, set a new meet record by finishing the race in 49.14 seconds, edging out his previous record in a thrilling photo finish. Anu Raghavan, returning to the Asian Games after an eight-year hiatus, made a remarkable comeback from an elbow injury to win silver, having previously earned bronze in the same event at the continental championship eight years ago.
