In a thrilling encounter at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Amritsar Soormas clinched a four-wicket victory against the Fazilka Falcons in the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League, keeping their semi-final aspirations alive.


Fazilka Falcons Set a Challenging Target

Batting first, the Fazilka Falcons managed to score 191 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The team faced early challenges, losing two wickets for just 20 runs. However, captain Shubman Gill and Pranshu Pratap steadied the innings, forming a crucial partnership.


The duo added 72 runs for the third wicket, helping the Falcons recover from their initial setbacks. Gill showcased his batting prowess, scoring a quick 67 runs off 35 balls, aggressively targeting the bowlers before being dismissed by Abhishek Sharma after hitting two sixes and a four.


Following Gill's exit, Pranshu continued to anchor the innings, supported by Sanvir Singh. Pranshu contributed a solid 40 runs off 33 balls, while Sanvir accelerated the scoring with a rapid 40 runs off just 21 balls, propelling the Falcons to a total of 191/6.


For the Soormas, Mayank Markande delivered an economical bowling performance, conceding only 26 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket.


Soormas Chase Down the Target with Rahul Kumar's Heroics

In response, the Amritsar Soormas started their chase strongly, with Abhishek Sharma and Sahaj Dhawan putting pressure on the Fazilka bowlers.
