Amitabh Bachchan's Tribute to the Indian Army
Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has shared his deep respect for the courage displayed by the Indian Army in light of the recent terror incident in Pahalgam and the subsequent military response known as Operation Sindoor.
In his reflection, Bachchan drew upon a poignant line from a poem written by his late father, the esteemed poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He quoted, “Hai Chita ki raakh kar me, maangti sindoor duniya,” which translates to, “There are ashes of the funeral pyre, the world is asking for vermilion.” He further emphasized the significance of the army's operation by stating, “De diya sindoor,” meaning “I gave you the vermilion!” in reference to OPERATION SINDOOR!!!
Bachchan wrapped up his heartfelt message with a powerful salute to the nation's protectors, echoing the stirring words of his father: “Jai Hind Jai Hind’s Army too na thamenga kabhee; too na mudega kabhee; too na jhukega kabhee, kar shapath, kar shapath, kar shapath. Agni Path! Agni Path! Agni Path!
