Amit Shah's Two-Day Visit to Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Feb 27: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Odisha for two days starting March 5.
An official announcement made on Friday indicated that a high-level meeting was convened on Thursday, led by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, to prepare for the minister's visit.
Sources confirmed that Shah will arrive in Odisha on the evening of March 5 via a special Indian Air Force flight from New Delhi.
On March 6, he is expected to participate in the Foundation Day celebration of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Mundali, located in the Cuttack district.
Later that day, he will head to Jatni in Khurda district to lay the groundwork for the Bhubaneswar campuses of the National Forensic Sciences University and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
Additionally, he will virtually inaugurate the Transit Campus of the National Forensic Sciences University in Bhubaneswar.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister will open the ‘Naveen Nyaya Sanhita’ exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar and is also expected to lay foundation stones and inaugurate various projects linked to the Cooperation Department and other state departments.
In preparation for the Minister’s attendance at the CISF Foundation Day event, officials have been instructed to improve the roads from Godisahi to Mundali, including street lighting, sanitation, and beautification efforts.
During the preparatory meeting, officials meticulously reviewed the Union Minister’s schedule, security measures, traffic management, and logistical arrangements for the events.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the need for all departments to work in close coordination and complete their preparations on time to ensure the visit proceeds smoothly.
Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Home, Industries, and Information & Public Relations Department, provided updates on the State Government's preparatory actions.
