Amit Shah Vows to Dismantle Mamata Banerjee's Government by 2026

Amit Shah's Bold Declaration in Kolkata
During a speech at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that the Mamata Banerjee-led government would be overthrown by 2026. He remarked, "Whenever Shubhendu stands in the assembly, Didi gets scared." Shah accused Banerjee of resorting to violence during elections, emphasizing that democracy has no place for such actions. He urged voters to participate in elections peacefully to understand the true situation.
Shah further claimed that the elections in Bengal are not solely about voting; security is also a crucial factor. He alleged that a significant number of infiltrators from Bangladesh have entered India over the years, facilitated by Banerjee's policies aimed at maintaining her vote bank, but warned that this would not last forever.
He presented statistics indicating that the BJP's victory in Bengal is imminent. Shah stated, "After the 2017 elections, we prepared for the 19th Lok Sabha. In the 2015 assembly elections, we won 77 seats. In the 24th Lok Sabha, the BJP was leading in 97 assembly seats, securing over 40 percent of the votes in 143 seats. If we make further progress, our government will be ready for the next elections."
Addressing Violence and Infiltration
Shah highlighted the recent riots in Murshidabad, stating that he requested the deployment of the BSF to control the situation, but Banerjee disagreed, leading to atrocities against Hindus. He described the riots as state-sponsored and questioned whether Modi's introduction of the Waqf bill was wrong, asking whom Banerjee is protecting under the guise of opposing it.
He reiterated his commitment to dismantling Banerjee's government by 2026, questioning the affiliations of key criminals involved in local incidents. Shah assured the Gorakh community that no leader would face imprisonment if they came to power, and promised the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He challenged Banerjee, asking what she has done for Bengal, noting that Modi has allocated ₹8,27,000 crores to the state government.
Shah urged the people of Bengal to support the BJP to stop infiltration and protect Hindus, appealing for a chance to prove their commitment.
