Amit Shah Urges Voters in West Bengal to Vote Fearlessly Against TMC
A Call for Fearless Voting in Kolkata
During a political rally in Kolkata on Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the importance of voting without fear to uproot the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and send it away into the Bay of Bengal. He reassured the audience that this time, there is no need for anyone to feel intimidated, as no goon can obstruct the voters of West Bengal. Shah reiterated that everyone should cast their votes boldly to ensure a significant change in the state.
He posed a question to the crowd, asking if they desired change in Bhabanipur, where he was present to rally support for the BJP candidate, Suvendu Adhikari.
Change Expected Even in Mamata Banerjee's Constituency
Citing frequent reports of bombings and shootings in Bengal, Shah stated that change is imminent not only in the state but also in Mamata Banerjee's own constituency of Bhabanipur. On the same day, he participated in a nomination filing event for BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari and joined him in a roadshow. The roadshow traversed various parts of Bhabanipur and concluded at the Survey Bhavan, where Adhikari would submit his nomination papers.
According to party sources, the convoy would halt approximately 200 meters before reaching Survey Bhavan, allowing Shah to accompany Adhikari to the office for the submission. BJP leaders indicated that Shah's presence at the nomination event underscores the significance the party places on the Bhabanipur election. There are also expectations that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign in Bhabanipur later.
