Amit Shah Unveils Jayraj Sports and Convention Center, Envisions India's Olympic Future
Inauguration of Jayraj Sports and Convention Center
On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Jayraj Sports and Convention Center, built by the Shri Poona Gujarati Bandhu Samaj. During the opening ceremony, he announced India's ambition to host the 2036 Olympics and emphasized efforts to enhance the country's medal tally.
In his speech following the inauguration, Shah expressed confidence that by 2047, which marks a century of India's independence, the nation will emerge as the world's leading country.
He remarked, "Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is making rapid advancements across various sectors, including the Chandrayaan mission, startups, healthcare, education, sports, and research."
Plans for Olympic Success
Discussing the convention center, Shah highlighted that the 250,000 square feet facility reflects the commitment of the Gujarati community. He reiterated the government's plans to host the Olympic Games in India by 2036 and aims to secure at least 10 gold medals, with additional initiatives in the pipeline to enhance the future of sports in the country.
Furthermore, Amit Shah praised the people of Gujarat, stating that wherever they go, they bring honor to their home state and have consistently remained away from controversies.
Cultural Contributions of the Gujarati Community
At the inauguration of the Jayraj Sports and Convention Center in Pune, he noted that when Gujaratis travel to other states, they not only preserve their culture and traditions but also become integral members of those communities, contributing to their progress.
The BJP leader emphasized that Gujaratis have always brought pride to Gujarat and have never been involved in any disputes. The Jayraj Sports and Convention Center was established by the Shri Poona Gujarati Bandhu Samaj, which was founded in 1913.
