Commitment to Ending Naxalism
On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated the government's pledge to eliminate Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026. Speaking at the 57th foundation day of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Cuttack, Shah emphasized the crucial role of CISF in combating Naxalism. He stated that the Modi administration is resolutely committed to freeing the nation from Naxalism by the set deadline, highlighting the significant contributions of CISF in this endeavor across states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
Shah assured the audience, saying, 'I guarantee that by March 31, 2026, this country will be free from Naxalism.' He expressed confidence that security forces would decisively defeat those who dream of establishing dominance from Tirupati to Pashupatinath. Shah also praised the 'bravery and self-sacrifice' of CISF personnel, expressing gratitude for their service to the nation.
He noted that over 56 years, CISF has not only fulfilled its primary objectives but has also adapted to face various challenges. Bravery and sacrifice are hallmarks of India's glorious history. By combining these qualities with dedication and modern weaponry, CISF has shown the courage to tackle all kinds of challenges. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all personnel of the force.
Shah attended the CISF's 57th foundation day ceremony at the Khurda Regional Training Centre in Mundali, Cuttack district. Upon his arrival in the state for various public events, he was welcomed at Bhubaneswar Airport by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Additionally, Amit Shah will perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) located within the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) campus in Bhubaneswar. He is also set to inaugurate an exhibition on the 'New Justice Code' and flag off a mobile forensic van during his visit.
