Amit Shah's Bold Commitment in West Bengal

Kolkata: On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced plans to secure the international borders of West Bengal with Bangladesh, which he claims have been left open and unfenced by the current Trinamool Congress government led by Mamata Banerjee. He vowed that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins the upcoming Assembly elections, barbed fencing will be installed within 45 days.

Shah emphasized the urgency of addressing illegal infiltration, stating, "Our priority is to rid West Bengal of illegal infiltrators. The current Chief Minister and her nephew will not take action against them. They have intentionally kept the borders open. Once we are in power, we will seal those borders within 45 days." This statement was made during a campaign rally in Chandipur, East Midnapore.

At another rally in the Salboni Assembly constituency, Shah reiterated the BJP's commitment not only to West Bengal but to the entire nation in combating illegal infiltration.

He criticized the Trinamool Congress for creating a dire situation for the residents of West Bengal through corruption, extortion, and violence, promising that those responsible would face justice.

Shah also recalled the financial aid provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Cyclone Amphan in 2020, claiming that the funds were misappropriated by Trinamool Congress affiliates. He assured the public that accountability would be enforced.

Additionally, he mentioned plans to expedite the completion of a steel project by the Jindal Group in Salboni and pledged to halt illegal sand mining in the region, promoting industrial growth without the influence of syndicates.
