Amit Shah Praises Anti-Naxal Operations in Chhattisgarh

Central Home Minister's Visit to Chhattisgarh

Central Home Minister Amit Shah recently met with Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sahay and officials responsible for the anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. During this meeting, he congratulated them for their efforts that led to the elimination of key Naxal leaders. Shah expressed his eagerness to visit Chhattisgarh soon to meet the brave personnel who played a crucial role in these successful missions. He shared on social media that he had recently engaged with officials who were instrumental in the historic successes against Naxalism and looked forward to meeting the courageous soldiers behind these achievements.

Government's Commitment to Eradicate Naxalism

Shah reiterated the government's commitment, under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, to liberate India from the curse of Naxalism. On June 6, Chief Minister Sahay traveled to Delhi to discuss successful operations aimed at eradicating Naxalism, the future course of action, and the state's development. During his visit, he also met with Home Minister Shah and the officials responsible for these operations. In less than a month, two anti-Naxal missions have resulted in the deaths of two top commanders of the banned CPI (Maoist). On June 5, officials confirmed the recovery of the body of a prominent Naxal leader, Sudhakar (alias Gautam). Just three weeks earlier, the body of Basav Raju, a member of the Central Committee Politburo and the general secretary of CPI (Maoist), was also recovered.

Impact of Recent Operations on Naxal Leadership

According to officials, Gautam was a senior Maoist leader linked to numerous violent incidents that resulted in the deaths of innocent tribal citizens and security personnel. His death marks a significant victory for security forces and a major setback for the Maoist leadership, particularly in the Dandakaranya region. This loss is expected to further weaken the already diminishing strength of the banned and illegal Maoist organization. Previously, CM Sahay had saluted the bravery of the soldiers executing such operations.
