Amit Shah Honors Swami Vivekananda and Rajmata Jijabai on Their Birth Anniversaries

On Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid homage to the revered spiritual figure Swami Vivekananda and Rajmata Jijabai, the mother of Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji, on their respective birth anniversaries.
Swami Vivekananda, born Narendra Nath Dutt on January 12, 1863, in Kolkata, is celebrated on National Youth Day. In a message shared on 'X', Shah expressed, "I respectfully pay my respects to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary and extend heartfelt wishes to all citizens on National Youth Day. Swami Vivekananda connected the youth of our nation with India's rich traditions, philosophy, and spirituality, bringing them to global platforms."
He further stated, "Through the Ramakrishna Mission, he established ideals of social service. The thoughts of Swamiji, which emphasize not stopping until goals are achieved, inspire a sense of duty and patriotism among the youth, propelling the vision of a developed India."
While paying tribute to Rajmata Jijabai, Shah noted in another post that she inspired Chhatrapati Shivaji to achieve the noble goal of protecting the nation.
He remarked, "From a young age, Rajmata Jijabai instilled values of courage, self-respect, and cultural preservation in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. She ignited in him the resolve to establish Hindavi Swarajya and motivated him towards the great goal of national defense. I respectfully pay my respects to Rajmata Jijabai on her birth anniversary."
