Amit Shah's Strong Remarks Against Mamata Banerjee

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding her allegations about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in the state. While he expressed understanding of the Trinamool Congress leader's accusations against the Election Commission, he criticized her for now blaming the judiciary. During a roadshow, Shah expressed confidence in the BJP's victory in the upcoming assembly elections, stating that the party's chief minister would take the oath on May 5 after the results are announced. He emphasized that the issue is not about Hindu-Muslim dynamics, noting that while he can comprehend Banerjee's claims against the Election Commission, her accusations against the judiciary are misplaced since the entire SIR process is under judicial oversight.

Allegations of Voter Name Removal

When questioned about the Trinamool Congress's claims that Hindu voters' names were removed during the SIR process, Shah reiterated that Banerjee's attacks on the BJP are unfounded. He labeled the SIR as a significant scam, asserting that it is not merely a revision but an attempt to bring the BJP to power, alleging that 9 million names have been erased. He previously stated that the TMC would support those whose names are missing from the voter list post-SIR, and he also accused the process of removing names from the Matua community.

BJP's Vision for West Bengal

Shah, who had earlier addressed rallies in West Bardhaman and Birbhum, accused Banerjee of transforming 'Sonar Bangla' into a syndicate rule. He asserted that the BJP is committed to realizing the vision of 'Sonar Bangla' as envisioned by Rabindranath Tagore. Furthermore, he accused Banerjee of turning the slogan 'Maa, Mati, Manush' into a facade for mafia, goons, and money power. He also criticized her government for not providing the necessary land for border fencing.

Border Security Concerns

Shah mentioned that the Border Security Force (BSF) requires 600 acres of land for fencing at the border, but Banerjee has refused to provide it, leading to infiltration issues. He claimed that she shelters infiltrators, who in turn support her. He confidently stated that the BJP government would be formed on May 4, ensuring that infiltrators are identified and expelled from the country. Shah highlighted that thousands of factories have left Bengal during the TMC's rule, leaving the youth unemployed in a state once considered an industrial hub of India.

Promises for the Future

He reiterated the BJP's commitments to implement a Uniform Civil Code and the Seventh Pay Commission. Shah concluded by stating that it is time to bid farewell to the Mamata government, emphasizing that removing her administration would mean a Bengal free from infiltrators. He asserted that if the people want to eliminate infiltrators from Bengal, only the BJP can accomplish this task.
