Amit Shah's Strong Remarks on Women's Safety in West Bengal

During an election rally in Jamalpur village, located in the East Bardhaman district of West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fierce critique against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding women's safety in the state. Shah accused Banerjee of failing to address numerous crimes occurring under her administration and promised that these issues would be tackled if the public elects the BJP to power.

Addressing the crowd, Shah stated that over the past fifteen years of Mamata's rule, the most affected individuals have been mothers and sisters. He highlighted incidents involving RG Kar, Sodepur, Kolkata Law College, and Durgapur College as evidence of widespread atrocities against women. Shah pointed out that Banerjee's suggestion for women to avoid going out after 7 PM is unacceptable, asserting that after the elections, young women would be able to roam freely at night without fear.

He emphasized that no BJP Chief Minister has ever advised women against going out after dark, accusing Banerjee of failing to ensure their safety. Shah expressed that it is shameful for a female Chief Minister to neglect the protection of women. He assured that the BJP would take strict action against anyone who dares to threaten mothers and sisters.

Meanwhile, Shah expressed confidence that the BJP would secure over 110 seats in the first phase of voting, which took place across 152 constituencies. He noted that the feedback received indicates that the people of West Bengal have already made their decision in the initial phase. With a voter turnout of 92.98% across 52 seats in 16 districts, he suggested that 'Didi' is likely to lose power, paving the way for the BJP to take charge, replacing fear with trust.
