Amit Shah's Strong Remarks Against Mamata Banerjee

On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the Vijay Sankalp conference held in Kolkata, West Bengal. During his address, he launched a fierce attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of opposing the Operation Sindoor and the Waqf Amendment Act to appease the Muslim vote bank. He further alleged that the recent riots in Murshidabad were 'state-sponsored.'

Targeting Banerjee, Shah stated, 'For the sake of the vote bank, Mamata Didi has crossed all limits. Just days ago, Pakistan-backed terrorists killed our innocent citizens in front of their families, asking them about their religion. Operation Sindoor was initiated to punish these terrorists, destroying their headquarters inside Pakistan. It seems that Didi feels pain over the death of these terrorists.'

Shah emphasized that Banerjee's opposition to Operation Sindoor was not just a political stance but a betrayal of millions of mothers and sisters in the country. He urged the women of Bengal to make it clear in the upcoming elections what the price of opposing Operation Sindoor would be.

Recently, Banerjee accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of exploiting the military response to the April 22 Pulwama terrorist attack for political gain.

Regarding the violence in Murshidabad in April, Shah claimed that several senior leaders of the TMC were involved in the riots. He asserted, 'The Murshidabad riots were state-sponsored. During the riots, the Home Ministry insisted on deploying the BSF, but the TMC government obstructed this to allow the violence to continue.' The communal riots during protests against the Waqf law resulted in at least three deaths and numerous injuries. Shah also criticized Banerjee for opposing the Waqf Amendment Act.

Shah accused the TMC of facilitating illegal immigration from Bangladesh, stating, 'Mamata Banerjee has opened the borders of Bengal for Bangladeshis. She will never be able to stop infiltration; only the BJP can do that.' In response to TMC's criticism of the BSF's inability to curb infiltration, Shah remarked that the TMC government has not provided the necessary land for the BSF. He added, 'Once the TMC government gives the BSF the required land, we will stop infiltration. However, the ruling party in Bengal will never do that because they want infiltration to continue to remain in power.'
