BJP's Promises for West Bengal

On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed strong confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure victory in the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections. He emphasized that once in power, the party would ensure the expulsion of all infiltrators from the state.

Shah made these remarks while addressing an event of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in the Araria district of Bihar, which is adjacent to West Bengal.

He stated, "With the elections approaching in West Bengal, I am fully confident that the BJP will emerge victorious. After the new government is formed, we will remove every infiltrator from the state."

The Home Minister highlighted that the process of removing infiltrators will commence in Bihar, particularly in the Seemanchal region. He noted that the party had won the previous assembly elections on this very issue, despite facing criticism from opponents regarding their agenda.

Shah pointed out that infiltration poses a threat to national security and can disrupt the demographic balance of a region. He accused infiltrators of relying on ration and other benefits meant for the general populace.

He remarked, "Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Assam are particularly vulnerable to such demographic imbalances. The Narendra Modi government is committed to maintaining demographic equilibrium."

Shah began his address by paying tribute to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a freedom fighter and proponent of Hindutva, on the anniversary of his death. He noted, "The 1857 uprising is regarded as 'India's First War of Independence' because Savarkar wrote a book that established it in that context."
