Amit Shah Honors Spiritual Contributions

On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah acknowledged the significant contributions of Swami Maharaj, the leader of the BAPS Swaminarayan organization, emphasizing his role in merging devotion with service and embodying the Vedic principle of seeing the divine in humanity.

During his speech at the prominent Amrut Mahotsav organized by BAPS Swaminarayan, Shah remarked that Swami Maharaj made spirituality and Vaishnavism more accessible and practical for everyone.

Shah stated, “Swami Maharaj connected devotion with service and brought to life the Vedic principle of seeing Narayan in every human. Through actions and compassion, he revitalized the ancient sage culture aimed at improving the lives of others. He accomplished a remarkable feat for the entire Sanatan Dharma without formal education, establishing the essence of saintliness across various sects of Sanatan Dharma.”

The three-day event is being held at the Sabarmati Riverfront to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Swami Maharaj's appointment as the head of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha (BAPS) in 2025.
