Praggnanandhaa's Journey to the Title

The 20-year-old Grandmaster secured the championship with a decisive win against Germany's Vincent Keymer, marking one of the most remarkable comeback stories in the tournament's history.

This elite competition featured a stellar lineup, including World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen, reigning champion D Gukesh, Alireza Firouzja, Wesley So, and Vincent Keymer, making it one of the most prestigious events in the chess world.

Praggnanandhaa's victory over Keymer followed impressive wins against Alireza Firouzja, Magnus Carlsen, and D Gukesh in the preceding days.

Notably, he also achieved a rare double victory over Carlsen during the tournament.
