Amit Shah's Emphasis on Language and National Identity

During the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Rajbhasha Department in Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the importance of promoting one's native language. He stated that there should be no opposition to any language, including foreign ones, but there should be a strong encouragement to celebrate and communicate in one's own language. Shah emphasized the need to break free from a colonial mindset, asserting that true liberation cannot be achieved unless individuals take pride in their language and express themselves in it.

Shah further elaborated that language is not merely a tool for communication but the very essence of a nation. It is crucial to preserve and enrich all Indian languages, particularly the official language. He firmly expressed that Hindi cannot be seen as an enemy to any Indian language; rather, it is a friend that can help elevate the self-respect initiative to its ultimate goal.

Earlier, Amit Shah addressed the issue of substance abuse among youth, labeling it as a significant challenge. He noted that the Modi government is taking a strong stance against drug cartels and is working compassionately to reintegrate youth struggling with addiction back into normal life. This statement was made during the International Day Against Drug Abuse, where he extended his best wishes to the warriors and allies in the fight for a drug-free India. Shah remarked on social media, "Drugs pose the greatest threat to our youth. The Modi government is adopting a comprehensive approach to tackle this danger, ruthlessly confronting drug cartels while supporting youth trapped in addiction to return to a normal life."
