Serious Allegations Against DMK Government

On Tuesday, BJP leader A.N.S. Prasad stated that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made five serious allegations against the DMK government and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. These accusations include corruption, oppression, dynastic politics, anti-Hindu sentiments, and misleading the public regarding central funds. Prasad emphasized the need for accountability regarding these claims. He referred to Shah's recent remarks, where the Home Minister labeled the DMK government as the most corrupt in the country.

During a public meeting in Pudukkottai on January 4, Shah launched a scathing attack on the DMK, asserting, "The DMK government is the most corrupt in the nation. Is this government, which demands a 20% commission for any work in Tamil Nadu, truly engaging in public welfare? It is leading the state towards ruin by relying on TASMAC's revenues and debts." He further questioned, "Is it right to arrest sanitation workers, teachers, anganwadi workers, doctors, farmers, and others who protest, subjecting them to violence and imprisonment?"

The Home Minister accused the Chief Minister of being involved in corruption and major scandals, stating, "The sole aim of Chief Minister Stalin is to make Udhayanidhi the Chief Minister! With ministers embroiled in corruption, from taking bribes for government jobs to being caught in money laundering and scams worth 6,000 crores, how can Tamil Nadu achieve development?" He claimed that the DMK is practicing "fascist-style politics" and committing "atrocities" against Hindus, regularly insulting Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma, referencing Udhayanidhi Stalin's past comments comparing it to diseases, and imposing bans on Hindu processions and idol immersions.

At the rally, he stated that fascist politics against Hindus, Hinduism, and Hindu deities is ongoing in Tamil Nadu. Can the DMK government continue its oppressive actions under the guise of minority vote bank politics, undermining the religious beliefs of Hindus and disrupting communal harmony? Shah added, "Until 2012, when the DMK was part of the central government, Tamil Nadu received only 1.53 lakh crores. The Modi government has allocated 11 lakh crores for Tamil Nadu's development from 2014 to 2024—can this be concealed through false statements?"
