Healy's Spectacular Farewell Performance
In a remarkable farewell to her ODI career, Australia's Alyssa Healy scored an impressive 158 runs, leading her team to a 185-run victory over the reigning World Champions, India, in the final match of the series held in Hobart. The 35-year-old wicketkeeper-batter had previously announced that this series would mark the end of her 16-year journey in international cricket.

Healy's innings featured 27 boundaries and two sixes, achieved in just 98 balls, propelling Australia to a formidable total of 409/7. Her teammate, Beth Mooney, also shone brightly, scoring an unbeaten 106 runs off 84 balls, helping the team surpass the 400-run milestone.
Reflecting on Her Career
After her final ODI, Healy expressed her appreciation for Mooney's performance and shared her excitement for the future of Australian cricket. "I’ve never enjoyed milestone matches, so today was a chance to relish the moment. It was one of my most enjoyable experiences. Thanks to the cricket gods for that. It’s a lovely way to conclude in yellow. Beth Mooney has been exceptional. A Stellar Career Comes to an End
Healy made her debut for Australia at the age of 19 in February 2010 and concluded her ODI career with over 3,500 runs. In T20 internationals, she scored 3,054 runs at an average of 25.45, including a personal best of 148*, which is the highest T20I score among Full Member nations. She also holds the record for the most T20I dismissals globally and ranks second in appearances for Australia in this format.
Her illustrious career boasts six T20 World Cup victories (2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, 2023) and two ODI World Cup titles (2013, 2022). Healy was honored as the ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year in both 2018 and 2019. She will conclude her international journey with her 11th and final Test match against India, set to begin on March 6 at Perth Stadium.
