Allegations of Sexual Assault Against Principal in Karnataka School

Chikkaballapur (Karnataka), Sep 30: A 15-year-old student from a government-run Morarji Desai Model Residential School in Chikkaballapur district has reportedly been sexually assaulted by the school's principal, Eshwara Reddy, as per a police complaint lodged on Wednesday.

An FIR has been filed against the principal concerning the alleged incident that occurred at the school situated near the 11th Mile in Gorlummanahalli village, within the Shidlaghatta taluk.

The student claims that the assault took place around 2:30 p.m. on September 26 in the school's medicine room.

According to her account, she had gone to deliver medicine to a sick Class 6 student when the principal allegedly summoned her into the room, where he behaved inappropriately and assaulted her. She further alleged that he threatened her to keep the incident secret.

After informing her classmates about the incident, the news eventually reached the teachers and her parents.

Following the revelation, the girl's parents visited the school on September 27, learned about the incident, and subsequently reported it to the police. On September 28, her statement was recorded in Chikkaballapur with child welfare officials present.

The Dibburahalli police in Shidlaghatta taluk have opened a case and commenced an investigation into the alleged sexual assault.

In her complaint, the victim stated: “I am a Class 9 student at Sri Morarji Desai Model Residential School. I am one of the 250 students studying at the school. The principal misbehaved with me on Saturday (September 26) and again this week. He kissed me, put his hand around my waist, and touched my chest. He also gagged my mouth.

"These memories are imprinted on my mind. No one should have to endure what I experienced. Please help me get justice.”
