Incident of Alleged Deception in Marriage

In Uttar Pradesh, incidents related to religious conversion continue to escalate. Recently, a young woman accused a mason of concealing his identity and luring her into a romantic relationship, leading to a love marriage. However, once the truth was revealed, he allegedly began to physically and mentally abuse her.

According to the victim, about a year and a half ago, a construction project for toilets was underway in her village. During this time, a mason introduced himself as Sultan Singh and gradually developed a close relationship with her. After gaining her trust, he proposed marriage, which she accepted.

Upon arriving at her husband's home after the wedding, the woman was shocked to discover the truth. Allegedly, her husband's real name is Furqan Ali, and he had hidden his identity and religion before the marriage. Following this revelation, the woman reportedly faced physical abuse and mental harassment.

The victim claims that a few days ago, the accused threw her out of the house. Gathering her courage, she contacted the police and filed a complaint regarding the entire incident. Based on her complaint, the police detained the accused for questioning.

After the interrogation, charges were filed against the accused for fraud, assault, harassment, violations of the SC/ST Act, and the Prohibition of Religious Conversion Act. He has since been sent to jail. The police stated that the victim is undergoing a medical examination and will be provided with protection.

Law enforcement officials indicated that a thorough investigation is underway to determine if anyone else is involved in this case.
