Allahabad High Court Dismisses Petition on Maulana Ali Jauhar Trust Demolition
Court Decision on Trust Demolition Case
Prayagraj, July 28 - The Allahabad High Court has rejected a writ petition concerning the demolition of the Maulana Ali Jauhar Trust in Rampur, which was filed by an outsider. Anupam Trivedi, the Additional Advocate General, raised objections regarding the maintainability of the petition, stating that it was submitted by a businessman named Mohammad Yusuf, who was being appointed as a representative of the trust. He emphasized that the university is typically represented by its registrar or an official employed at the institution.
The court noted that an outsider cannot approach the court on behalf of the university. Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamshery, in his order issued on Monday, acknowledged the validity of the objections raised by the Additional Advocate General regarding the maintainability of the petition.
