All-Party Delegations to Promote India's Stance Against Terrorism
Delegations to Key Partner Nations
Leaders from the opposition, including Shashi Tharoor, Supriya Sule, and Kanimozhi, are set to spearhead all-party delegations to various 'partner nations' as part of Operation Sindoor, as announced by the Union government on Saturday.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs revealed that seven delegations will travel to significant partner countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council, later this month to discuss Operation Sindoor and India's ongoing battle against cross-border terrorism.
According to the government, these delegations aim to showcase India's unified stance and determined strategy in combating terrorism in all its forms. They will convey a strong message of zero tolerance towards terrorism to the international community.
Each delegation will comprise MPs from various political parties, notable political figures, and diplomats, as stated by the ministry.
Congress's Tharoor, Sule from the Nationalist Congress Party, and Kanimozhi from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will each lead a delegation.
Additionally, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda from the Bharatiya Janata Party will also head their respective delegations.
Leaders from the Janata Dal (United) and the Eknath Shinde-led faction of the Shiv Sena, including Sanjay Kumar Jha and Shrikant Shinde, will also participate as leaders of the groups.

This announcement follows a recent agreement between India and Pakistan to cease hostilities after a four-day conflict.
On May 7, tensions escalated when the Indian military executed strikes, known as Operation Sindoor, targeting what it identified as terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
These military actions were a response to a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals on April 22.
In retaliation, the Pakistan Army engaged in shelling Indian villages along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the deaths of at least 22 Indian civilians and seven defense personnel.
Pakistan has reported that 40 of its civilians and 11 military personnel lost their lives during the conflict.
