Akhilesh Yadav Promises Revival of Prestigious Awards in Uttar Pradesh

Commitment to Revive Awards
On Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party (SP), announced that if his party secures victory in the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, they will reinstate the esteemed 'Yash Bharti' and 'Rani Lakshmibai' awards.
These awards, which were previously discontinued by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, recognized excellence in fields such as sports, arts, and literature, along with providing cash rewards.
Details of the Awards
The Yash Bharti award was designated for individuals from Uttar Pradesh who achieved remarkable accomplishments, while the Rani Lakshmibai award was aimed at honoring talented women.
Reiterating his party's dedication to acknowledging talent across all sectors, Akhilesh stated, 'Regardless of whether they reside in Uttar Pradesh or elsewhere, deserving individuals will be honored through these reinstated awards by the SP government.'
Welcoming New Members
During an event at the party office, Yadav welcomed several new members to the SP, including fitness enthusiast Raja Yadav, who has gained popularity on social media.
Known as 'Bihari Tarzan' for his viral fitness and stunt videos, Raja Yadav boasts over 3.6 million followers on Instagram.
