Akhilesh Yadav's Strong Criticism of BJP's Foreign Policy

On Monday, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav sharply criticized the management of the BJP's foreign policy prior to a meeting of the India Block leaders. While discussing the agenda for the meeting, he accused the BJP government of putting India's foreign policy in jeopardy. Highlighting the impact of rising inflation, he claimed that many Indian citizens stranded in the Middle East are unable to celebrate festivals due to the ongoing crisis.

Yadav expressed to reporters that under the BJP government, India's foreign policy has been compromised, and with inflation soaring, many stranded citizens are missing out on festive celebrations. He questioned, 'What is the Indian government doing?' He mentioned that the leaders' meeting would lead to several decisions. Furthermore, he stated that the India Block leaders are strategizing on a proposal to remove Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

He added that the meeting of the house leaders would determine the next steps. Other opposition leaders also criticized the BJP's approach to foreign policy. Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav commented on the upcoming statement from the Foreign Minister regarding the situation in West Asia, alleging that the ruling government has been evasive in clarifying foreign policy matters.

Yadav emphasized that merely issuing a statement from the minister will not significantly address the main concerns of the opposition. He noted that traditionally, when the government makes a statement in the house, the opposition has the right to seek clarifications. However, this government is never willing to provide such clarifications, making such statements ineffective. Regarding the proposal to remove Speaker Om Birla, the Samajwadi Party MP stated that the party would refrain from further comments until there is an official discussion on the matter in the house.
