Allegations of Conspiracy in West Bengal

The head of the Aam Janata Uday Party (AJUP), Humayun Kabir, has leveled accusations of conspiracy following a controversial sting video that has stirred significant uproar in West Bengal. This video was released by the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

Speaking to reporters in Islampur, Kabir asserted that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee maintains a favorable relationship with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He further claimed that the timing of the video's release on December 19 is suspicious, coinciding with the upcoming assembly elections.

Kabir mentioned that the video from December 19 is being circulated on April 8, questioning what Chief Minister Banerjee has been doing during this period. He labeled it a conspiracy and stated he would respond in the High Court. He reiterated that Banerjee has strong ties with the BJP and RSS, suggesting they are collaborating against him. When asked about the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) led by Asaduddin Owaisi withdrawing its alliance with his party, Kabir declined to comment, stating that inquiries should be directed to them. Since announcing the construction of the Babri Masjid, Kabir has been embroiled in controversies, including a foundation-laying ceremony for a mosque in Murshidabad. The TMC had previously suspended him for raising this issue before expelling him from the party, leading him to establish a regional party.
