Ajay Rai's Health Improves After Hospitalization in Uttar Pradesh
Ajay Rai Admitted to Medanta Hospital
Ajay Rai, the president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress unit, is currently receiving treatment at Medanta Hospital after being admitted due to a sudden health decline. A hospital official provided this update on Saturday.
Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi have expressed their wishes for Rai's speedy recovery.
Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, the director of Medanta Hospital, informed that Rai collapsed at his residence around 6 PM on Friday, prompting his immediate transfer to the hospital.
Health Condition and Treatment
Medical examinations revealed that Rai was suffering from low sodium levels and elevated blood pressure. Following prompt medical intervention, his condition has shown improvement.
The hospital director noted that a team of doctors is closely monitoring his health, and he is currently conscious, able to communicate, and in stable condition. A medical bulletin released on Saturday afternoon stated, "Ajay Rai (56) was brought to the emergency department around 6:30 PM on Friday, where he was found unconscious and had experienced a seizure. Initial tests indicated low sodium levels in his blood (hyponatremia)."
Ongoing Care and Support
The bulletin further mentioned, "He is under the care of critical care specialist Dr. Dilip and his team. During treatment, his sodium levels have been stabilized, and he is currently in the ICU under continuous medical supervision."
Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi stated on Saturday that Rai was hospitalized due to low sodium levels after he fainted at his residence in Lucknow, where he had been engaged in party activities throughout the day, including a visit to the airport.
