Airspace Limitations During Republic Day Events

In preparation for the Republic Day celebrations, airspace restrictions will be in effect at Delhi Airport on January 26 and 29. An official announced on Tuesday that on January 26, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, unscheduled flights will not be permitted to take off or land at the airport.


The official further stated that on January 29, coinciding with the 'Beating the Retreat' ceremony, airspace restrictions will be enforced from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) is one of the largest airports in the country, handling approximately 1,300 flights daily.
