Crash Incident Overview
The plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12 resulted in the deaths of 260 passengers. The aircraft was en route to London’s Gatwick Airport but crashed just seconds after takeoff. Following this incident, Air India has been under close scrutiny and has implemented several measures, including a temporary reduction in flight numbers and a thorough inspection of its Boeing 787 and 737 fleets. The airline has completed inspections of the fuel switches on its B787 fleet. Additionally, the company is adhering to a 'safety pause,' which is a deliberate strategy to temporarily reduce its international and domestic networks.
