Air India has expressed profound condolences and solidarity with the families of those who lost their lives in a recent tragic incident. The airline stated that its ground teams are tirelessly working to support and care for the affected families during this incredibly challenging time. As part of its ongoing relief efforts, Air India has announced an interim compensation of ₹25 lakh for each bereaved family and the sole survivor. This interim assistance is in addition to the ₹1 crore financial aid already provided by Tata Sons. We at Air India are deeply saddened by this tragedy. CEO Announces Interim Payment for Victims' Families

In a video message, Air India's CEO and MD Campbell Wilson announced the interim payment of ₹25 lakh to the families of the deceased and survivors. Following the unfortunate Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has appealed to Tata Sons to provide financial assistance to the injured from BJ Medical College and the families of deceased students. In a heartfelt letter addressed to Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran, the IMA expressed deep sorrow over this loss and highlighted the significant impact of this tragedy on the medical community. The letter stated, "The pain endured by the families of the injured and deceased is beyond words," urging the Tata Group to show compassion towards those affected.


Financial Aid Requested for Medical Students and Doctors

The IMA has requested that the same financial assistance previously announced, which is ₹1 crore per deceased individual, be extended to the families of medical students and doctors who lost their lives in the accident. The association emphasized, "Such a step would reflect true solidarity and provide much-needed reassurance to the medical community during this time of mourning.
