Air India Enhances Flight Options to Key Destinations

Mumbai: On Wednesday, Air India revealed plans to increase its flight services to Toronto, Frankfurt, and Paris (Charles de Gaulle) in response to heightened demand stemming from the ongoing situation in West Asia.

Additionally, Air India's budget airline, Air India Express, confirmed that its flights to Muscat will continue, along with extra services between Muscat and both Delhi and Mumbai.

Specifically, the Tata group-owned airline will introduce three extra flights from Delhi to Toronto from March 5 to March 11, alongside three additional flights to Frankfurt and one to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) from March 7 to March 10.

These new services aim to offer travelers more options on these routes, facilitating convenient connections to various destinations across Air India's extensive domestic and Southeast Asian networks.

Air India also stated that it will keep monitoring the situation closely and may extend these additional flights beyond March 11, depending on developments.

In a post on X, Air India Express announced it would maintain its flights to and from Muscat on March 5, along with increased services between Muscat and Delhi and Mumbai.

Moreover, special flights from Ras Al Khaimah to Delhi, Kochi, and Mumbai will be operational until March 7, according to Air India Express.

Another domestic airline, Akasa Air, announced it would operate five flights connecting Abu Dhabi and Jeddah with Mumbai and Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

The airline will run flights from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai, and one each from Mumbai and Ahmedabad to Jeddah, including return flights.

Following a thorough safety evaluation and current situation assessment, Akasa Air stated it is reinstating select flights to and from certain Middle Eastern destinations.

However, services to Doha, Kuwait, and Riyadh will remain suspended until March 5.

Akasa Air plans to operate Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai and Bengaluru-Jeddah-Bengaluru flights on March 5 (Thursday).

Due to airspace restrictions in the Middle East resulting from the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran, flight operations have faced significant disruptions since February 28.
