The airline announced that the aircraft has been temporarily removed from service for a thorough inspection, which may lead to disruptions on certain routes serviced by the A350.


In a statement, Air India confirmed that flight AI101, bound for New York (JFK), had to return to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to the unexpected closure of Iranian airspace, affecting its planned route.
