NDA Coalition and Seat Distribution
Last week, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) finalized its seat-sharing agreement, allowing AIADMK to contest 169 seats. Following the announcement, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami referred to the coalition as a "victorious" alliance, asserting that the NDA aims to secure at least 210 seats in the elections. He emphasized the party's objective to oust the DMK from power, while media criticism regarding the DMK's seat-sharing negotiations was notably absent.
Seat Allocations for Other Parties
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been allocated 27 seats, while the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), led by A. Ramadoss, will contest 18 seats. The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), headed by T.T.V. Dhinakaran, will run for 11 seats. Other coalition members include the Tamil Manila Congress (Mupanar) led by G.K.
