Agra Woman Accuses Lawyer Husband of Infidelity and Abuse
Allegations of Infidelity and Domestic Violence
In Agra, a 30-year-old woman has leveled serious accusations against her lawyer husband, claiming he is involved in an illicit relationship with her sister-in-law. She stated that her husband does not spend nights with her and began physically abusing her just ten days after their wedding.
The woman reported that whenever she confronts him, he resorts to violence. She managed to record a video of one such incident, but her husband destroyed her phone upon discovering it. Following these events, she claims she was expelled from their home. This incident took place in the Jagdishpura police jurisdiction, specifically in the Awdhpur Maharani Bagh Nihal Bagh Colony.
In her complaint to the police, the woman detailed that she married a local man on April 20, 2025. Shortly after their marriage, he began to physically assault her and subsequently stopped coming home.
She later learned about the affair between her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, which she believes is the reason for her husband's abusive behavior and his absence at night. She alleges that her husband has been having an affair with her sister-in-law.
When she opposed his demands for dowry, her husband and in-laws began pressuring her for 2.5 million rupees to buy a luxury vehicle. She also mentioned that her brother-in-law verbally abuses her when intoxicated. Despite several attempts to resolve the issues through community meetings, no progress was made.
The abuse continued, and on January 20, she was forcibly removed from her home. Her husband accuses her of being immoral. When she caught him with her sister-in-law, he became enraged. After recording the incident, he destroyed her phone. As a lawyer, he threatens her with legal repercussions.
Her in-laws have also been involved in the physical abuse. The woman claims that her husband labels her as promiscuous and accuses her of having extramarital affairs. He has even threatened to remarry, with her mother-in-law supporting this decision.
She revealed that she had been pregnant once, but her husband and mother-in-law forced her to abort the pregnancy, insisting that she would not be allowed to keep the child until she brought the money for the vehicle.
The woman has filed an FIR at the Jagdishpura police station. Her husband, who recently became a lawyer, has been threatening her, claiming she cannot harm him legally. Additionally, her father-in-law has verbally abused her.
Moreover, her husband has created a fake Instagram account in her name, spreading false chats and insults among her family and relatives, severely damaging her reputation. She wishes to remain in her marital home but has been forcibly evicted.
