Incident Overview

In Agra, Uttar Pradesh, a troubling case has emerged involving a hotel operator accused of exploiting a woman. Allegations suggest that the operator lived with the woman in a live-in relationship. After she filed a complaint with the police, they were married. However, on their wedding night, the man made a shocking demand that left the woman in disbelief. The police are currently investigating the matter.

Details of the Case

A woman from Ghaziabad was lured to Agra by a man from Hathras, who promised to marry her. For two years, they lived together, during which she faced exploitation. After she reported the situation to the police, both families agreed to a marriage ceremony at a temple. However, following the wedding night, the man demanded 20 lakh rupees for the wedding celebration. Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar has instructed the Sikandra police to investigate the case.

Victim's Background

The victim, a 25-year-old woman, shared that she was previously married five years ago but was abandoned by her husband after having a son. She lived with her mother in Ghaziabad. Two years ago, while on her way to work, she met the accused, who deceived her into a friendship under the pretense of marriage. They began living together in a rented house in the West Puri area of Sikandra, where he operated a hotel. After two years, when she insisted on marriage, the accused delayed the process, prompting her to file a complaint at a police station in Hathras. Eventually, they were married on April 23 at a temple.

Post-Marriage Threats

The day after their wedding, the man insisted on making their marriage public and demanded a dowry of 20 lakh rupees. When the victim refused, he threatened to abandon her and warned that he would release explicit videos and photos if she reported him. Following this, he turned off his mobile phone and disappeared. On Tuesday, the victim approached Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar to file a complaint, leading to further investigation by the police.

Evidence of Misconduct

The victim revealed that the accused operates a hotel in the Sikandra area, where numerous women involved in illicit activities frequently visit. She discovered explicit photos of the accused with other women on his mobile phone.
