Advocating for Workers' Welfare
Every brick of development is built on the sweat, hard work, and dedication of laborers. However, a significant number of workers still lack access to basic amenities. In this context, Dhirendra Singh, the legislator from Jewar, has sent a letter to the state government during his visit to Lucknow, highlighting the true conditions faced by workers. He urged the implementation of a comprehensive action plan that includes education, health, housing, and social security for their overall welfare.
In his correspondence, Singh emphasized that "In today's environment, it is essential for workers not only to have employment but also to ensure quality education for their children, accessible and effective healthcare for their families, safe and affordable housing, social security coverage, and attention to their livelihoods."
He further pointed out that despite various government schemes, the benefits are not reaching all workers effectively at the grassroots level. Referring to recent labor movements in Gautam Buddh Nagar, he indicated that this situation underscores the urgent need for more concrete and practical measures to address workers' issues.
Singh expressed confidence that under the leadership of the honorable Chief Minister, the state government will take this matter seriously and make prompt positive decisions. This will ensure that the working class is granted dignity, security, and the right to a better life, thereby making the state's development more inclusive and empowered.
