ABVP Submits Memorandum to Address Student Complaints

The Nurpur chapter of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has formally presented a memorandum to the principal of the college, highlighting serious complaints from students, particularly female students, regarding alleged harassment and undue pressure from certain faculty members.

Representatives from ABVP conveyed to the principal that several female students reported experiencing mental harassment, intimidation, and inappropriate comments from specific teachers. Additionally, some students claimed they were being coerced into changing their subjects against their preferences.

The student organization expressed concern that such coercive tactics could adversely affect the academic prospects of students, with some even contemplating leaving the institution due to the distressing circumstances.

In their memorandum, ABVP called for a thorough and unbiased investigation into these allegations, urging the college administration to take necessary actions if the claims are substantiated. They also emphasized the need for a safe and respectful environment where all students can focus on their studies without fear.

Furthermore, ABVP alleged that there have been instances of political and external interference in the college's administrative processes. They urged the college authorities to make decisions independently and fairly, prioritizing the academic welfare of students over any external influences.

The Nurpur unit of ABVP firmly stated that they will not tolerate any infringement on the rights, dignity, and academic future of students, demanding swift and appropriate action from the college administration regarding these issues.
