Nurpur, June 27: The Nurpur unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has formally presented a memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Nurpur concerning the availability of hostel accommodations for college students. Since the SDM was unavailable, the memorandum was delivered to the Tehsildar for further action.
In the memorandum, ABVP has urged that the college hostel, which is currently repurposed for other uses, be returned to its original function for student housing. The organization highlighted that this facility is crucial for students, particularly those from remote areas who encounter significant challenges in finding suitable accommodation.
ABVP members called on the administration to address this urgent matter promptly. They cautioned that if the hostel is not reinstated for student use in the near future, the organization may resort to protests, sit-ins, and road blockades as part of their agitation.
The student organization reaffirmed its dedication to advocating for student rights, emphasizing its historical commitment to addressing issues that affect students and vowing to persist in this endeavor.
