Insights from AB De Villiers
Former South African cricket star AB De Villiers believes that participating in ODI and Test formats will enable 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals to explore new dimensions of his cricketing abilities, both mentally and physically. However, he cautions that the path ahead may be challenging for the young talent.
Sooryavanshi's IPL Performance

De Villiers on Future Challenges
In a recent episode of the podcast 'For The Love of Cricket,' hosted by Stuart Broad, De Villiers expressed admiration for Sooryavanshi's talent but emphasized that he is yet to understand the demands of Test cricket. He suggested that unless guided by a competent manager to focus solely on T20 formats, the young player might face significant adjustments in his game. De Villiers stated, "If he continues to play only T20, it could lead to a long and successful career, but I hope he also explores Test cricket to fully develop his skills."
Sooryavanshi's Record-Breaking U19 Performance
During the recent U19 World Cup, Sooryavanshi was the second-highest run-scorer, amassing 439 runs in seven matches at an average of 62.71 and a strike rate of 169.49, including a century and three fifties.
