Aaditya Thackeray's Strong Remarks Against BJP
Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray has taken a firm stance against the BJP, addressing allegations of fund misappropriation at the Ram Temple and the issue of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Responding to questions from reporters, Thackeray launched sharp political attacks on the BJP.
He stated, "We are safeguarding Lord Ram from the BJP. The BJP has transformed into the 'Babar Janata Party.' They are raising the UCC issue merely to divert attention from the alleged looting of the Ram Temple. We will not allow this to happen. Let’s debate the UCC based on its merits, and we will support it. The Supreme Court should conduct an impartial investigation into the alleged theft at the Ram Temple."

Uddhav Thackeray Launches 'Ram Raksha' Movement
On July 5, Uddhav Thackeray initiated the 'Ram Raksha' movement in response to the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He criticized the BJP, claiming that those who exploit Hindus are currently in power. As part of the movement, Uddhav Thackeray recited 'Hanuman Stotra' and 'Hanuman Chalisa' at the Hanuman Temple in Dadar, central Mumbai. Following this, he addressed a public gathering outside the temple, demanding a fair investigation into the matter. Dressed in a saffron kurta, Uddhav Thackeray emphasized that if anyone misuses Hindutva to loot the temple, the Hindus of this country will never forgive them.
Uddhav Thackeray remarked, "It is extremely unfortunate that those who exploit Hindus are the ones in power today. No thief can be asked to investigate their own theft. Therefore, this investigation must be completely impartial."
Concerns Over Kashi and Mathura
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader expressed deep concern by referencing the famous political slogan, 'Ayodhya is just a glimpse, Kashi and Mathura are yet to come.' He indicated that witnessing the situation in Ayodhya raises worries about what might happen in Kashi and Mathura in the future. Uddhav stated that while they are fearless, innocent, and love their country, they are not foolish. He also mentioned that Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena, worked to awaken Hindus, but today’s politics is misleading them.
Background of the Allegations
The serious allegations regarding the misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple surfaced on June 7 of this year. To investigate the matter thoroughly, the Uttar Pradesh government established a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Based on the initial report from the SIT, an FIR was filed on June 25. As part of this action, the police have arrested eight individuals involved in the security and counting of donations at the temple.
