A Tale of Courage: How a Truck Driver Became a Hero

You may have heard the saying, 'Those who have no one, have God.' In times of trouble, people often turn to God, and if their pleas are sincere, divine intervention may come in the form of a savior. Today, we share a remarkable incident from Hardayalpur village, located on the Pilibhit-Tanakpur road, that will make you believe in this saying.

Surrounded by dense forests, the village is home to Savitri Devi, who lives in a hut about 300 meters away with her 17-year-old daughter, Kiran. Savitri lost her husband four years ago, leaving the mother-daughter duo to fend for themselves. Recently, while they were asleep in their hut, a group of thugs attacked their home.

It was around 1:30 AM when the intruders forcibly took Kiran away into the woods. Despite her desperate cries for help, she was powerless against the two assailants.

At that critical moment, a truck driver named Aslam became her guardian angel. Hearing Kiran's screams as the thugs dragged her away, he stopped his truck and rushed into the forest with a friend. Upon arrival, he was met with a horrifying scene.

Aslam witnessed two men attempting to assault a girl. Without hesitation, he grabbed one of the attackers, but the second thug struck him violently from behind, causing serious injury. Nevertheless, Aslam refused to give up and continued to fight to save Kiran.

In the struggle, Aslam's friend also sustained injuries, but they bravely confronted the assailants until they fled. Thanks to Aslam's bravery, Kiran was saved, although he required hospitalization for his injuries. After recovering, he visited Savitri and Kiran before departing.

Four years later, while driving along the same route, Aslam's truck caught fire and veered off into a ravine, approximately a kilometer from Savitri's home. Hearing his cries for help during the night, Savitri and Kiran rushed to the scene and managed to rescue him, bringing him back to their home for medical attention.

When Aslam regained consciousness, he recognized Kiran and asked if she was the same girl he had saved years ago. Upon hearing this, Kiran also recognized him and they embraced, both in tears. From that day on, Kiran considered Aslam her brother, and she ties a rakhi on him every Raksha Bandhan.
