A Tale of Courage: How a Truck Driver Became a Hero
A Miraculous Rescue in Hardayalpur
You may have heard the saying, 'Those who have no one, have God.' In times of trouble, people often turn to God, and if their pleas are sincere, divine intervention may come in the form of a savior. Today, we share a remarkable incident from Hardayalpur village, located on the Pilibhit-Tanakpur road, that will make you believe in this saying.
Surrounded by dense forests, the village is home to Savitri Devi and her 17-year-old daughter, Kiran, who live in a hut about 300 meters from the village. Savitri lost her husband four years ago, leaving the mother-daughter duo to fend for themselves. Recently, while they were asleep in their hut, a group of thugs attacked their home.
It was around 1:30 AM when the intruders forcibly took Kiran away into the woods. Despite her desperate cries for help, she was unable to escape due to the two assailants.
At that critical moment, a man appeared like an angel in Kiran's life. A truck driver named Aslam was passing by when he heard Kiran's screams. He immediately stopped his truck and, along with a friend, rushed into the forest. What he encountered was horrifying.
Aslam witnessed the two men attempting to assault Kiran. Without hesitation, he grabbed one of the attackers. However, the second thug struck Aslam from behind, causing him serious injury. Despite the pain, Aslam continued to fight to save Kiran.
In the struggle to rescue her, Aslam's friend was also injured. They bravely confronted the thugs, forcing them to flee. Thanks to Aslam's bravery, Kiran was saved, but he sustained significant injuries that required hospitalization for several days. After recovering, Aslam visited Savitri and Kiran before leaving.
Four years later, while traveling along the same route, Aslam's truck caught fire and veered off into a ravine, approximately a kilometer from Savitri's home. Hearing his cries for help in the night, Savitri and Kiran rushed to the scene. They managed to rescue Aslam and brought him back to their home, calling a doctor to treat his injuries.
When Aslam regained consciousness, he recognized Kiran and asked if she was the girl he had saved from the thugs. Upon hearing this, Kiran also recognized him and they embraced, both in tears. From that day on, Kiran considered Aslam her brother, and she ties a rakhi on him every Raksha Bandhan.
