An Unforgettable Meeting in Goa

It is often said that everyone has a soulmate waiting for them, and sometimes, they meet under the most unexpected circumstances. This was the case for Nupur Gupta from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, whose love story resembles a cinematic tale.

In February 2019, Nupur traveled to Goa for a two-week yoga training program. While practicing yoga, she felt compelled to swim in the ocean. Unbeknownst to her, the waves were particularly strong that day.

As she swam, she ventured farther than intended, and soon found herself surrounded by powerful waves that began to pull her under. Despite her efforts to swim back, she struggled to stay afloat and began to panic. Just then, a man named Attila Bosnyak swam towards her, reaching out to help. With the assistance of a lifeguard, Nupur was brought back to safety.

A Bond Formed Through Adversity

Once on the shore, Nupur noticed that Attila had sustained injuries to his shoulder, thigh, and fingers, with blood visible. She quickly tended to his wounds, and they shared a chocolate ice cream together. It was in that moment they both realized that fate had brought them together for a reason.

Nupur and Attila took photos together and began to converse. Although they both had flights to catch, they decided to cancel them to spend more time together. Their bond deepened during the week they spent in Goa before returning to their respective homes—Nupur to Kerala and Attila to the Netherlands. Despite the distance, they maintained constant communication through video calls and WhatsApp.

A Love That Endures

Currently, Nupur and Attila are in a committed relationship, enjoying a happy life together. Nupur expresses her gratitude to the divine for sending Attila into her life, both as a savior and a partner.
