The upcoming 2026 edition will see the return of Anahat Singh, the defending women's champion, as the event's highlight. It will also feature top Indian players like Ramit Tandon, Abhay Singh, Veer Chotrani, Velavan Senthilkumar, and Joshna Chinappa, alongside international competitors such as Yahya Elnawasany, Hana Moataz, and Mazen Hesham.
With a total prize purse of USD 44,500 for both men's and women's events, this tournament marks a significant milestone as the first Indian tournament to offer equal prize money.
Cyrus Poncha, Secretary General of the Squash Rackets Federation of India, expressed enthusiasm about the Indian Open's rapid rise as a prominent event on the PSA calendar, providing Indian players with exposure to elite competition while enhancing the sport's profile in the country.
