Court Delivers Justice in Ghaziabad Rape Case
A Ghaziabad court has sentenced a man to 20 years in prison after finding him guilty of raping a five-year-old girl. The ruling was made on Tuesday, and the court also imposed a fine of ₹1.1 lakh.
According to Special Public Prosecutor Sanjeev Bakharwa, the incident occurred on July 24, 2018, when a man named Gulab abducted the girl from her neighborhood around 1:30 AM and took her to a nearby field where he assaulted her.
Bakharwa further stated that some neighbors witnessed the crime in progress, intervened, and apprehended Gulab before handing him over to the police. On Tuesday, Additional District and Sessions Judge Deepika Tiwari found Gulab guilty and sentenced him to two decades in prison along with the monetary penalty.
