Shocking Arrest in Amaravati

19-Year-Old Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse of 180 Minors in Maharashtra

In Amaravati, Maharashtra, a young man has been apprehended on serious charges of sexually exploiting at least 180 underage girls and producing over 350 explicit videos. This arrest followed a complaint lodged by a local BJP MP, prompting immediate police action. The suspect, identified as Mohammad Ayaz Ahmed, also known as Tanveer Ahmed, is just 19 years old and has been remanded to police custody until April 21.

Authorities reported that Ayaz, a resident of Partawada, allegedly lured girls into a love trap, taking them to Mumbai and Pune where he recorded their explicit videos.

Forced Exploitation and Blackmailing
The nearby towns of Partawada and Achalpur are in shock over this scandal. The recovered videos reportedly show Ayaz coercing the minors into sexual acts. Allegations suggest that he used these recordings to blackmail the girls and push them into prostitution, with some videos being widely shared online.

Was There an Accomplice?
Ayaz is accused of ensnaring the girls in relationships before exploiting them sexually and physically without their consent. Police sources indicate that some videos feature Ayaz himself, raising suspicions that he may have had assistance from another individual in filming these acts.

Outcry from Political Figures
A significant uproar occurred on Monday when Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Anil Bonde and BJP spokesperson Shivray Kulkarni filed a complaint with the Amaravati Rural SP, Vishal Anand. They claimed that the accused had ensnared numerous girls through social media and subjected them to sexual abuse, threatening a major protest if police did not take action.

Threat of Protest
MP Anil Bonde presented a memorandum to SP Vishal Anand, stating that minors were systematically targeted via WhatsApp and Snapchat groups. He warned that if a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was not formed, he and his supporters would protest outside the SP's office on Wednesday. The accused is currently in police custody, and investigations into his phone are underway to gather more information. The cyber cell has also initiated the process of removing the videos from social media.

Chief Minister Takes Notice
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the guardian minister of Amaravati, mentioned that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is aware of the situation. Bawankule stated that he has spoken with the DGP, emphasizing the seriousness of the issue. He noted that there are several aspects of the case that cannot yet be disclosed to the media, assuring that a thorough investigation will be conducted and strict action will be taken against the accused.

Background of the Accused
Mohammad Ayaz reportedly previously held a position within AIMIM. His social media posts include videos and images of him receiving a letter from MIM's Amaravati president, Haji Irfan Khan, and creating social media reels during party rallies. However, following the emergence of this case, many such videos have been removed from his Instagram account.
