In Bhivandi, a town in Thane district, a 14-year-old girl has reportedly become pregnant after being allegedly raped by a classmate. This information was disclosed by local police on Saturday.

According to a police official, a case was registered against the 14-year-old boy on Thursday, based on the girl's complaint. The charges are filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Both the victim and the accused reside in the same neighborhood and attend the same school. The complaint states that the incident occurred in May, where the accused allegedly lured the girl to his home and assaulted her, leading to her pregnancy. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.
