Present a garland made of lotus seeds (*Kamalgatta*) to the Goddess. Recite the *Shri Lakshmi Chalisa* followed by the *Shri Sukta*. Leave the garland near the Goddess overnight; the following morning, wrap it in a red cloth and store it in your safe or money area. 11 Cowrie Shells Remedy: Rise early on Varalakshmi Vrat and make a vow (*Sankalp*) to observe the fast and conduct the worship. Maintain a fast throughout the day, consuming only fruits (*Phalahar*).
